When you are pregnant, never miss a meal, especially breakfast.  Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because your baby has been waiting for it since he/she probably woke up in the middle of the night.  If you wait too long to eat, you will start to feel sick, this is a way your body is telling you to eat.

Make sure you are getting enough food to eat daily.  For a healthy pregnancy, it takes 4-6 servings of dairy a day.  This can include milk, yogurt, eggs, and cheeses.  Dairy products contain a lot of calcium which your baby needs to develop healthy growing bones.  It is always best to eat more of these type of foods since their good for your teeth and bones as well.

Beside dairy products, daily serving of fruits and vegetables is just as important.   Being pregnant will take a lot of energy away from you so it’s always good to eat food that contain a lot of energy. Fruits that are great for energy are apple, orange, banana, and pears.  As for vegetable, eat a lot of broccoli, lettuce, and peas.

Everyone body is different so if you are unsure of the foods you can eat, it is best to ask your doctor for recommendation.  You may also learn that your stomach won’t handle certain food that it would before.  Some of these foods may include food that contain grease, meat, and certain foods that have a strong odor.

While eating healthy food is good for your baby and your pregnancy, you should never forget water.  You’ll need lots of water to help move the nutrition from the foods throughout your body and especially to your baby.  As long as you eat healthy foods and drink plenty of water, you should have a healthy pregnancy.
